Dr. Malpani has been a topper and has had a distinguished academic and professional career, winning several gold medals and scholarships during his MBBS from Bombay University. He passionately advocates patient centered medicine and is a fervent believer of Information Technology, and using the internet to empower patients. He has written many academic papers and is regularly invited in many conferences to speak. He has authored many books including;
-Successful Medical Practice – Winning Strategies for Doctors;
-Using Information Therapy to Put Patients First;
-Patient Advocacy – Giving Voice to Patients.
-How to Have a Baby and How to Get the Best Medical Care.
He is the Founder of HELP, the Health Education Library for People (www.healthlibrary.com), India’s first and only free library for patient education.
Dr Malpani started India’s first sperm bank in 1991; and achieved India’s first pregnancy after PGD in 1999.

He is the recipient of a Gold Medal from Madras University for MBBS, a Distinguished physician of India award in 1995. Dr. BC Roy National Award and Dr. JC Bose award for life sciences Research. Pride of India award from Indian Associations in the US.
He has a track record of excellent leadership and mentoring. His career spans over decades served as the Principal and Dean in Kasturba Medical collage Mangalore. He also has been pro vice chancellor and vice chancellor of Manipal University.
Dr. Hegde has published 249 research papers in Indian, British, US, German, Kuwait and Chinese journals, more than 30 books and innumerable articles both in English and Kannada in India and overseas.
He is very passionate proponent of holistic health with focus on prevention.
Dr. Bhavin Jankharia
Dr Bhavin Jankharia’s core passion is clinical radiology, specifically chest, bone and cardiac radiology and interventional CT, for which he has trained at The LTMG, KEM and Bombay Hospitals in Mumbai, at the University of California, San Diego, at The Mayo Clinic and at the Royal Brompton Heart & Lung Institute in London. He has also worked as a consultant for a brief time at the P D Hinduja National Hospital.
A great teacher and a thought provoking writer, he has acted as the voice of the industry in several ways He was the editor – in – chief of the Indian Journal of Radiology and Imaging (IJRI) for six years till 2013 and till recently had a weekly column in the Mumbai Mirror. Currently, he is the President of the Indian Radiology and Imaging Association for 2014.
Dr Jankharia also runs a non – profit organization called Radiology Education Foundation (REF) for radiology education.
